Directions
Dancing is almost every Monday in Evanston, just north of Chicago, from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. There is no dancing on Memorial Day, Labor Day, or on Independence Day or Christmas when they fall on a Monday. Our policy is that we dance as long as it's between 0 and 90 degrees. On occasion we may cancel due to severe winter snowstorms, so check for email alerts in case of severe weather. If you aren't on our email list, you can request to be added by contacting us via the email address below.
Bring a water bottle and dancing shoes. We do not have air conditioning.
We dance at Lake Street Church's MacLeish Hall, a 2100 square foot space with a lovely wood floor. Lake Street Church is located on the northwest corner of Lake Street and Chicago Avenue. MacLeish Hall is accessed from the courtyard on Chicago Ave.
There is free parking around Raymond Park and on Lake St. There is meter parking until 9pm on Grove St and on Sherman Ave (south of Lake).
Close to Dempster Street Purple Line and Davis Street Metra stops! Easy to get to via the Pace 213 and 250 buses.
The church courtyard faces Chicago Avenue, just north of Lake Street. Enter through the doors in the corner of the courtyard (see picture on the right).
**Note: the door now is kept locked - knock on the window.
MacLeish Hall, where we dance, is to your left when you enter the door--very easy.
